TOLATsm Reports
Individuals who take the TOLATsm directly from this website will receive two reports:
1. The TOLATsm Level Indicator Report includes brief descriptions of each of the Levels of Functioning (Level 3 to Level 7) and the diagnosis of the team you had in mind (or, if you chose to take it as an individual, your own Level of Functioning).
2) TOLATsm and the Levels of Functioning Report is a more in-depth presentation of the Levels of Functioning for groups and teams. The characteristics of each Level found in this longer report are about the team rather than about an individual on the team.
This longer report is available as a link within The TOLATsm Level Indicator Report.
This 20-page report provides more context for understanding the Levels: how relationships are different at different Levels, how the workplace environment changes by Level, and how personal fulfillment varies by the particular Level of a group or team.
Included also in this report is a background of the vertical Levels of Development for individuals as taught in the Riso-Hudson interpretation of the Enneagram as well as the horizontal Levels of Functioning for groups and organizations as developed by Don Riso and taught in the 9D Approachsm
The TOLATsm and The Levels of Functioning Report also shows samples of the kinds of interpretive materials that Facilitators will receive as a result of giving the TOLATsm to a group. These sample TOLATsm Graphs are provided so that individuals can have an idea of the “look and feel” of the real TOLATsm Graphs that are available to 9D Facilitators.
Remember, the TOLATsm can be taken by an individual who keeps in mind a group they are currently or formerly a part of as they respond to each of the 45 statements of the TOLATsm or The TOLATsm can be taken by an individual to assess their own Level of Functioning. For this approach, one must translate the team language into personal language. (More on these approaches in the guidelines when purchasing TOLAT).
Groups that take the TOLATsm administered by a 9D Facilitator
When the TOLATsm is given to a group and administered by a 9D Facilitator, Facilitators are given access to a wide range of ways to interpret, summarize, and display the data. The primary display of the Facilitated TOLATsm is shown in five TOLAT Graphs (one for each Level). These five core graphs allow an understanding of how each of the Nine Domains is being expressed in the particular group which has been tested Level-by-Level and Domain-by-Domain. That is, how the Domains are being expressed in their authentic, balanced form (Level 3) and also how the Domains are being expressed in their distorted (ego-based) forms (Levels 4-6) and in their highly distorted form (Level 7). In other words, the TOLATsm can be used to identify the real strengths of a group as well as be an early indicator of future trouble.
An important feature of the TOLATsm is that it provides a means for Facilitators to probe the survey results in ways that are most useful for the situation and to incorporate the data displays in their reports. The TOLATsm displays are designed so that it is easy to either go deeper into the data or to get a broader perspective. The TOLATsm survey can incorporate several demographics which will increase insight into the dynamics of the group. For example, if gender is designated as a demographic, the results would show, Domain-by-Domain, how women view this team relative to men. If longevity on the team is chosen as demographic, the results would reveal if newcomers see the group differently, and if so, in which Domains?
It is important to note that the Nine Domains Group has designed the TOLATsm (and other surveys) in such a way that anonymity of individuals who take the tests is strictly maintained. Facilitators will adhere to the highest level of confidentiality.
